Wesley Community Center serves the West Dayton community and the Miami Valley with the mission of “Helping Others Through God Centered Principles.” The Center has earned a reputation as a reliable, committed, faith-based organization that cares for families and individuals experiencing personal crises.
Established in 1966 by the Methodist Mission Society, the Center moved to its current location in 1976. Wesley Park, which adjoins the center, was a gift from the IAMS Corp. and Mr. Clay Mathile.
Hundreds of volunteers offer their time and expertise to make possible caring service. The center performs social services through contracts with Dayton Public Schools, Montgomery County (Department of Job and Family Services, Family and Children First Council, and Human Service Levy Council), and the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area. The Center collaborates with a multitude of organizations throughout the region.
Wesley Community Center is a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization is governed by a Board of Trustees. It is an accredited charity with the Better Business Bureau and is a partner agency of United Way of the Greater Dayton Area.
